Cable operator shot dead

NEW DELHI: A cable operator was shot dead allegedly by his rivals near his house in Ambedkar Nagar here on Wednesday. The police have detained one person for questioning.

The incident took place around 6 p.m. when two men on a motorcycle intercepted 35-year-old Raj alias Raju’s car and one of them fired at him. The police suspect that half-a-dozen bullets were pumped into his body.

Raj’s brother rushed him to Batra Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
