Staff Reporter

NALGONDA: Miscreants burgled Shivaalayam, situated in the historic Pachhala Someswara temple complex on the outskirts of Panagal near here in the early hours of Wednesday.

A silver naaga padiga, shatagopam and a plate worth Rs.40,000 were found missing from the sanctum sanctorum , the police said.

The miscreants broke open the locks of all the three temples - Ganapathi, Rajarajeswar and Shiva - located in the historic temple complex but the ornaments were missing from the Shiva temple.

The police registered a case and launched a probe.
