Five firms fined for employing children

CHENNAI: Officials of the Labour Department imposed a fine of Rs.10,000 each on proprietors of five firms for employing children in their units.

An official release said the checks were conducted in various units and in five establishments. Cases were registered and the court imposed the fine on the five units. — Special Correspondent
