Thiruvananthapuram: The Vigilance and Anti-corruption Bureau has completed investigation in 415 complaints of corruption in government service, quasi-government establishments and public sector undertakings and submitted reports to the government in 2007-08.

The bureau, which was reacting here on Thursday to reports in a section of the press that investigation in cases by it was slowing down due to political pressure, said that 189 confidential enquiries were completed during the period.

It also conducted 272 snap inspections and forwarded the report for follow-up action.
