Mock fire drill conducted

KARAIKAL: Fire service personnel in Karaikal district in the Union Territory of Puducherry on Thursday performed an impressive demonstration and mock exercise about putting out fire and rescuing people during natural calamities including tsunami, cyclone and floods.

The exercises were performed to create awareness among the people and also the school students as to how to prevent fire accidents and also to rescue people in the event of natural calamities.

Fire service personnel performed various demonstrations of fire fighting on the Karaikal beach in the presence of several dignitaries including N. Vasanthakumar, Karaikal Collector.
