KOCHI: Teams of City Police and Intelligence Bureau searched the guest house functioning under Santhitheeram, registered as a charitable organisation, after media reports that its owner Santhosh Madhavan is involved in arms deals. The police team could not find the owner, who is also known as Amruta Chaitanya. There were no guests at the time of the search. The team interviewed staff members, who claimed to have no knowledge about other activities of the organisation. The team was led by P.M. Ashraf, Assistant Commissioner (Ernakulam), C. Jayachandran Nair, Assistant Commissioner (Special Branch) and D.S. Suneesh Babu, Circle Inspector, Ernakulam Town North. Since no complaints have been lodged against Santhosh Madhavan, the police did not register any case. The team collected information about guests. The City Police have requested the public to pass on any information in this regard to Mr. Suneesh Babu, Circle Inspector, at the number 98469 03244.
