NDA set to return to power in Centre: Modi

HYDERABAD: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi claimed here on Thursday that the National Democratic Alliance-led by the BJP would return to power in the Centre in the next elections.

Though the ‘Delhi Government’ (UPA coalition) planned to go in for early polls, it has withdrawn from its move sensing the public mood against rising prices.

“I do not think that the Centre can face the next elections,” he said.

He was speaking to reporters on his way to Raichur to participate in the campaign in Karnataka. Asked about US President George Bush’s remarks about food consumption in India, he said the Centre should reply to the remarks.
