Meet on ‘caesarean section skills’

TIRUPATI: Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) will be conducting a ‘Continuing Medical Education’ (CME) workshop on ‘Caesarean section skills’ here on May 18.

The meet, to be coordinated by the Tirupati Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society, focuses on the latest developments in the field of obstetrics, especially in an era when the patients’ expectations have risen and when the obstetricians are increasingly being held responsible for omissions and mismanagement.

Discussions

The meet will discuss certain relevant issues like Newer operative techniques for opening and closing, Rising caesarean cases, Difficult baby deliveries, Dealing with the unexpected, Obstetrical haemorrhage, Dealing with bowel and bladder injuries, How to avoid medico-legal cases etc.

Suchitra Pandit, Vice-President of FOGSI (Mumbai), Ruma Sinha from Medwin Hospitals (Hyderabad) and Bharti Dhore Patil will be among the key speakers at the event.
