When Mayor getting down from her car, Congress Corporators started shouting slogans against her and demanded immediate action against the menace. However, Polu Vijayalakshmi and her deputy Ch. They demanded that there should be an end to this problem on the spot. Meanwhile, Adireddy Apparao, TDP City president and husband of the Mayor intervened in this matter and tried to push the gates of the Corporation along with their corporators Parimi Vasu, I. Srinivas and others. However, their move was thwarted by the Congress Corporators. TDP corporators raised slogans against the MLA and Congress Corporators retaliated by raising slogans against the Mayor. The police tried their best to pacify both the warring groups.

The Commissioner assured the Congress corporators that he will settle the issue within five days.
