E. Kalaimani gets first rank in Tiruvannamalai district

TIRUVANNAMALAI: E. Kalaimani of Mount St. Joseph’s Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Tiruvannamalai, who obtained 1,165 marks out of 1,200, bagged the district level first rank in Tiruvannamalai district in the Plus-Two public examinations held in March 2008.

S. Juala Malani of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Vandavasi (1,158 marks) obtained the second rank, while N. Thamizhmani of Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Cheyyar (1,153 marks) obtained the third rank.

Tiruvannamalai district obtained a pass percentage of 71.42 in the 2008 examinations, improving on the percentage of 65 in 2007.
