Staff Correspondent

HUBLI: Four complaints were registered in connection with the violation of model code of conduct in Hubli-Dharwad Central and Hubli-Dharwad East (SC) constituencies on Friday.

Congress candidate Shankranna Munavalli and Rashtriya Hindu Sena candidate Krishna Gandagalekar were among those against who complaints were registered.

The election officials took exception to the inauguration of a borewell at APMC yard at Amaragol in Hubli in which Viranna Malagi, Ramesh Bafna and Mudigoudar participated. A complaint was registered subsequently.

Mr. Shankranna Munvalli and Mr. Krishna Gandagalekar were accused of canvassing at Ganesh Temple in Rajivnagar and at Ramalingeshwar Temple in Sainagar, respectively.

Another complaint was registered at Bendigeri police station after a truck carrying wheat bags without valid permission was found plying in Veerapur Oni area on Friday.
