Thrissur: Writer and social activist Sugathakumari has said that women are still scared of visiting police stations and lodging complaints. Addressing the district conference of the Kerala Police Association, she said, "If police stations instill fear, how can women get help from there? When I was working in the Kerala Women’s Commission, I got a clear picture of what women thought about policemen. This image must change. The police should work closely with the public.” Actor Dileep also spoke.
