CPI(M) picketing on May 15

THIRUVANANTHAUPRAM: CPI(M) activists will picket Central government offices at all taluk centres in the State on May 15 to protest against price rise. In a statement here on Friday, the CPI(M) State secretariat pointed out that the price rise was the worst in recent times. Although the Left parties submitted proposals to check the price spiral, the UPA government had not accepted them. The picketing was part of a countrywide agitation organised by the CPI(M) to protest against the government’s negative attitude to these proposals and its failure to check the price spiral, it said. — Special Correspondent
