Berlusconi resigns as Milan chairman

Milan: Silvio Berlusconi resigned as president of AC Milan on Thursday so he could become Italy’s Prime Minister. A law designed to address conflicts of interest of politicians requires Berlusconi, who was sworn in Thursday, to resign his post at the team. — AP
