Easy for OU

HYDERABAD: Osmania University defeated Sporting Club 3-0 in the A-2 Division hockey league championship at Begumpet Police Stadium here on Friday.

Sai put OU ahead in the 16th minute through a fine solo effort and within two minutes Kushwanth made it 2-0.

In the second session, OU increased the lead with Sai in the scoring act again in the 43rd minute.

In the B-Division league at AOC Grounds, Deccan Stars drubbed Nuclear Fuel Complex 7-0 with Sabir, Ibrahim netting a brace each and Hassan, Arif, Fizer striking once each.

SCF (Reds) wins title

Sports Coaching Foundation (Blues) defeated SCF (Reds) by three wickets in the under-13 category of the Boston Cup sub-junior floodlit cricket tournament at SCF Grounds here.

Batting first, SCF (Reds) scored 55 with Wajid (three for 16) being the main wicket-taker. In reply, SCR (Blues) achieved the target by losing seven wickets with Man of the Match Wajid (27) being the top-scorer.
