Three-year-old girl assaulted

NEW DELHI: A three-year-old girl was assaulted by a young man at Gandhi Nagar here on Friday.

The incident took place around noon when the girl had gone to her neighbour’s house on the first floor to watch television. The girl was all alone. Abdul Rasool alias Babloo took the girl to another room and allegedly criminally assaulted her. On returning home, the girl narrated the incident to her parents.

The matter was reported to the police and the accused was arrested after a medical examination of the girl confirmed the assault.

Abdul Rasool, a native of West Bengal, stays with his brother in the city and works in a garments factory.
