Swamy hails Supreme Court verdict

CHENNAI: Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy has said that the Supreme Court’s observation upholding the Madras High Court’s direction to the government to explore other ship channel alignments that do not damage the Ramar Sethu structure was a “historic achievement for the long suffering one billion Hindus.”
Ancient monument
The Supreme Court had also directed the government to get the Archaeological Survey of India to find out if the Ramar Sethu can be declared as an ancient monument of national importance, he said in a statement,
