Buses damaged

Two State-owned buses were damaged when members of the Bharathiya Forward Bloc led by Murugan resorted to a road blockade agitation and pelted stones at Usilampatti in the district on Friday condemning the desecration of Muthuramalinga Thevar statue at Kodanginayakkanpatti. Police said Murugan and four others were arrested. At T. Kallupatti, a group blocked traffic protesting the desecration and demanded the arrest of those responsible for the incident.
