Free counselling for anxious students

Staff Reporter

KOCHI: Students in the district waiting anxiously for the SSLC results, which are to be announced on May 13, have something to fall upon to help them cope with all the mental pressures one associates with examination results.

The National Rural Health Mission will launch a tele-counselling facility on May 12 specifically aimed at those who have appeared for the SSLC examinations. The programme is being implemented by the health department in association with the education department. Trained counsellors have been deployed across the district to help students get rid of various problems associated with impending examination results such as sleeplessness, mental pressure, lack of appetite etc. Five block coordinators of the Arogyakeralam project have been entrusted with extending assistance. Apart from students, parents and others can also avail of the service. For receiving counselling dial the following numbers; 9447107177, 9946243113, 9895266255, 9495675214 and 9495638637.
