Hyderabad man found killed in Warangal

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: A ward member of Nizampet village in Kukatpally, Kantha Reddy, 48, who was missing for past two days, was found murdered on the outskirts of Narmetta in Warangal district on Friday.

Reddy left his house at Nizampet in his Innova car on Thursday afternoon. He was alone then. As he didn’t return home, the next day his wife Prabhavati approached the Kukatpally police who registered a case of man missing. While search was on for him, the police received information that a decomposed body of an unidentified person was lying at a secluded place on the fringes of Mariapuram village in Narmetta police station area.

The victim’s relatives later identified the body as that of Reddy.

However, neither his mobile phone nor car was found at the spot, the Janagaon Circle Inspector Manohar told The Hindu.

Injuries on the body suggested that he was attacked with blunt weapons and boulder. The decomposed status of the body indicated that Reddy was murdered the same day he went missing.
