PANAJI: The Goa Government on Sunday ordered to stop water sports in south Goa following a fatal mishap at Colva beach on Friday in which one tourist from Karnataka died when a speedboat capsized. The Government has asked the State Department of Captain of Ports to conduct an inquiry into the incident and submit a report. Early this week, the State Tourism and Captain of Ports, in a joint action, suspended the licenses of 10 speedboats that were operating illegally on north Goa beaches. HeldMeanwhile, the south Goa police on Saturday arrested two persons in connection with the Friday’s speedboat mishap.
