Vennavalkudi centre celebrates Health Day

PUDUKOTTAI: The ‘Primary Health Centre Day’ was celebrated under the auspices of the Health Department at the Centre in Vennavalkudi village near Tiruvarankulam recently. Deputy Director of Health Services, Aranthangi, I. Ravindran, in his address, said that the quality of health-care delivery system at the Primary Health Centres had stepped up, thanks to provision of adequate infrastructure and posting of doctors. He gave away cheques to 15 pregnant women under the ‘Dr. Muthulakshmy Reddy Memorial Scheme’ on the occasion. Medical Officer of the Centre, J. Senthilkumar offered felicitations.
