Mobile, internet services affected

ADILABAD: Cell phone and Internet services of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in Adilabad distrist were hit due to the damage caused to the optical fibre cable (OFC) at Neredigonda mandal headquarters and at Mandagada village in Janiad mandal on Saturday. The OFC was cut while earth moving machinery was being used for road widening works that are in progress on the National Highway, said Subrahmanyam, Adilabad Deputy General Manager of BSNL. Restoration work was in progress when last reports came in.
