NAGAPATTINAM: A 30-year-old Ramesh Kumar, son of Samiappan of Keezha Eesanur village in Tirukkuvalai taluk in Nagapattinam district, died reportedly in a terrorist bomb attack in Iraq on Thursday. According to Samiappan, Ramesh Kumar was recruited as a truck driver by a Kuwait firm in 2000 and was recently sent to Iraq. He said he had received a phone call from Ramesh Kumar’s co-worker that his son was killed in the terrorist attack. On Friday, Mr Samiappan had sent representations to Chief Minister to take steps to bring his son’s body from Iraq to his village.
