Glitches in EVMs set right

Bangalore: A few electronic voting machines (EVMs) suffered minor technical glitches in the morning, though they were sorted out later.

At one booth in Pulikeshinagar, the EVMs got stuck when voters pressed the wrong buttons. But with a dedicated engineer from BEL on call for each constituency, these problems were soon sorted out.

Voters in Tilaknagar in Jayanagar constituency said they had to wait in the queue for hours in the sun because of glitches in EVMs. Residents from nearby houses were seen supplying water to those waiting in queues.
