KOCHI: The police are waiting for a formal complaint to be lodged against Santhosh Madhavan on whom Interpol has issued a look-out notice. Officers of the city police and the Intelligence Bureau searched the guest house owned by Santhosh Madhavan, also known as Amruta Chaitanya, on SRM Road here on Thursday. The case was that he cheated an Indian national of four lakh Dirhams in Dubai and the Interpol website said arrest warrant had been issued in Dubai against him. Investigation could be initiated against him on getting a complaint, as there is a provision to do so on Indian nationals committing crimes abroad, said a senior police officer. Even as the police wait for the complaint to come, some officers doubt whether Santhosh Madhavan had moved out of his residence at Kadavanthra. His movements were being monitored, the officer said.
