BIDAR: A case was registered against the former Minister Basavaraj Patil in Humnabad taluk on Saturday for violating the model code of conduct. The police said 11 vehicles, which were being used for the election campaign without a permit, had been seized. Cases have been booked against some Congress workers also. Rajshekar Patil, Congress nominee from Humnabad, is the son of Mr. Basavaraj Patil. The police said Mr. Basavaraj Patil was reportedly holding a meeting of party workers at Shakuntala Patil Residential School on the outskirts of Humnabad. Arrangements had been made to provide food for them. — Staff Correspondent
