KASARAGOD: The police have seized around four tonnes of illegally-stocked gun powder and crackers from various unlicensed cracker and other explosives manufacturing centres in the district in inspections held on Friday and Saturday. The police arrested C.H. Muhammad Kunhi, owner of BB Fireworks, and registered cases against him for storing more crackers than permitted. Cases have also been registered against Abdul Nazar, a resident of Karanthakkad; and Fraooq and Ashraf, natives of Arikkady; for manufacturing crackers without license. — Staff Reporter
