Fotedar expresses surprise

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: Congress leader M. L. Fotedar on Saturday expressed surprise that Union Human Resource Development Minister Arjun Singh did not mention former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s name while referring to the Punjab Accord during a speech in the capital on Friday.

Talking to The Hindu a day after Mr. Singh stirred a controversy with his remarks about the present-day Congress at a function to mark the release of his book “Mohin Kahan Vishram,” Mr. Fotedar, however, refused to comment on any other aspect of the Minister’s speech.
