JAC plea

CHENNAI: The Joint Action Council of College Teachers (JAC) has urged the State Government to drop the proposal to convert five government colleges and two aided colleges into universities. The JACmet on May 9. Converting these public-funded institutions into autonomous and private universities would erode the values of teaching, research and extension for which they were started.
