Faizabad (UP): The Uttar Pradesh Police on Saturday searched several temples in Ayodhya looking out for some persons, including sadhus, who were allegedly involved in a bank robbery.

A team of the Special Task Force carried out searches in six temples in connection with looting of Rs 10 lakh from a Gramin Bank in Gonda district on Friday, police said.

Members of the Mahant Arun Das gang and some sadhus were wanted in connection with the bank robbery, police spokesman Shivaji Singh said.
