Nine injured in cylinder burst

VILLUPURAM: Nine persons were injured when a cylinder in a house exploded on Friday evening at Thanigalampattu near here. One of the injured, K. Murugan (26), who suffered severe burns, was admitted to a Puducherry hospital.

The police said that the house of K. Kannan caught fire at about 6 p.m.

The fire was put out in an hour.

However, a cooking gas cylinder kept in the house burst. — Special Correspondent
