Application forms for engineering courses

CHENNAI: Students from all over the State congregated on the Anna University campus in Guindy from early morning on Saturday to pick up application forms in person for engineering courses.

Anna University Vice-Chancellor D. Viswanathan handed over the first application form to a student. Speaking to press persons later, he said efforts would be made this year to fill up the 10,000 seats that were vacant last year. The last date for submitting applications is May 26 (by 5-30 p.m.) he added. A total of 65,581 applications were sold on the first day, according to varsity sources. — Special Correspondent
