Mohit, Shweta clinch titles

MUMBAI: Tamil Nadu’s Mohit Mayur and Himachal Pradesh’s Shweta Rana won the singles and doubles titles in boys’ and girls’ under-16 categories in the Sunil Dutt Memorial national series tennis tournament here on Saturday.

The results (all finals): Boys’ u-16 (singles): Mohit Mayur (TN) bt Shahbaz Khan (Mah) 6-4, 6-1; Doubles: Mohit Mayur (TN) & Digvijay Singh (HP) bt Rohit Bisht & Ronit Bisht (Del) 6-2, 5-7, 10-4.

Boys u-14: Ronit Bisht (Del) bt Vishal Passi (Mah) 6-2, 6-0; Doubles: Rishabh Dev & Digvijay Singh bt Atul Patel & Kamal K 7-5, 6-4. Girls u-16 (singles): Shweta Rana (HP) bt Kanika Vaidya (Mah) 6-4, 6-1; Doubles: Shweta Rana (HP) & Prarthana Thombre (Mah) bt M. Divija & Neha Purohit (AP) 6-1, 6-4.
