Kharge criticises BJP
Staff Correspondent
DAVANGERE: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president M. Mallikarjun Kharge has ridiculed the repeated questions of the Bharatiya Janata Party as to what the Congress did for the country after Independence.
Addressing an election meeting at Harihar on Sunday, he said that many eminent leaders such as Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi had sacrificed their lives for the country.
Mr. Kharge dared the BJP and Janata Dal (Secular) leaders to show any remarkable work they had done in their 20-month tenure. Congress candidate Nagappa, I.G. Sanadhi, Jalaja Naik and others participated.
