Found dead
SANKAGIRI: The wife of a police constable was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Thangayur village near here on Saturday.
Police said Indira Devi (32) of Konganapuram, wife of Rajagopal (40), attached to Annathanapatti police station, went to Taramangalam on Friday and did not return home. Meanwhile, residents in Thangayur found the body of a woman in their village and informed the police. The deceased was identified as Indira Devi. A case was registered.
In another incident, a woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Mamangam in Salem on Sunday. Police said residents in Thillai Nagar informed the police following stench emanated from a house in their area. The personnel found Jothi Vanitha (28), who was staying in the house, dead. A case was registered and further investigation was going on.
