10,000 faulty meters to be removed

BERHAMPUR: The power distribution company, Southco may have to remove more than 10,000 sub-standard electricity meters placed by it in different parts of south Orissa. The orders in this regard were passed by the Grievance Redressal Forum (GRF), Berhampur, formed by the Orissa Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC) under the Electricity Act of 2003. Earlier the Southco had restricted its customers from buying and using electricity meters of two particular brands from the market.
