Family of four die in suicide pact

PEGADAPALLY (NIZAMABAD DT.): A pall of gloom descended on this tiny village in Bodhan mandal, 40 km from the district headquarter, wherein in a suicide pact, four of a family ended their lives by consuming pesticide on Saturday night. The news of their death plunged the villagers into deep depression.
Gandhari Raja Reddy (38), his wife Lakshmi (32), son Raja Reddy (14) and daughter Rajitha (8) committed suicide by taking pesticide in a soft drink after dinner last night.
Learning it, neighbours shifted them to area hospital, Bodhan where they died while undergoing treatment midnight last.
The villagers bade a tearful farewell to them on Sunday afternoon. The old mother of Raja Reddy and his sisters were seen crying inconsolably.
