Hubli-Dharwad
Taking no chances: Police frisking a visitor at the entrance of the court complex in Hubli on Monday. HUBLI: Following the bomb blast at the court of the Judicial Magistrate First Class (First Court) on Saturday, the court complex in Hubli presented an altogether different picture on Monday. There were police everywhere and barricades were set up blocking all entrances except one. All the other entrances to the court complex have been sealed and metal detectors have been installed at the entry point. Another reason for the heavy security was that the hearing in the case involving terror suspects was scheduled take place in JMFC (First Court) on Monday. Following the blast on Saturday, the JMFC First Court had to be shifted and now it is working the on the premises of Principal Civil Judge (Junior Division) situated on the first floor of the court complex. Apart from the police there were personnel of the Central Para Military Forces keeping a strict vigil on the premises. Everybody entering the court complex were frisked by the police personnel before letting them in. And not everyone was allowed to enter the court premises. At the main gate, people were stopped before being let in. Only advocates and those who had cases scheduled for hearing were allowed.
