White paper on development: Raghuveera

Staff Reporter

ANANTAPUR: Minister for Agriculture N. Raghuveera Reddy on Monday stated that a white paper on the development of the district would be issued soon. He claimed that their government had not only introduced several welfare and development schemes for all sections but were also implementing them successfully.

Speaking at a public meeting organised to mark the conclusion of the fourth phase of Praja Patham he said the ministers and other key functionaries in the previous TDP government were used to spend the summer cold locations while the Congress government had sent the elected representatives and the officials to people during the scorching summer from April 10 to May 7 to learn the problems. ‘Praja Patham’ was not introduced for the name sake but it was continuation of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy Praja Prasthanam padayatra taken up before the 2004 elections to learn problems of people. He also detailed all the welfare schemes being implemented by the government.
