Man strangles wife, hangs himself

MALAPPURAM: A man hanged himself after strangling his wife at Pandikkad, near Manjeri, in the early hours of Monday. Police said Iranjiyil Kamaruddeen, 40, killed his wife Mumtaz, 38, before hanging himself in the house at Choorakkavau. The police said the couple had quarrelled on Sunday night, and that must have ended in the killing. An investigation was on. — Staff Reporter
