New Delhi: The Editors Guild of India on Monday mourned the killing of photojournalist Ashok Sodhi while he was covering a shootout between the Army and militants in Jammu and Kashmir. “A senior photojournalist of the State, Sodhi, had excelled himself in coverage of different facets of the political and security situations in Jammu and Kashmir,” Guild secretary-general K.S. Sachidananda Murthy said in a statement here. “The Guild extends heartfelt condolences to the family of Ashok Sodhi and to his colleagues,” the statement said. The 47-year-old Sodhi was killed after he was caught in a crossfire in Samba district on Sunday. — PTI
