Two killed in accidents

Rourkela: Two persons were killed in two road accidents in Sundergarh district, police said on Monday.

Driver of a truck, Aananda Kumar (35) was killed on the spot when the vehicle collided with another coming in the opposite direction on State highway no 10 near Barpali under rajgangpur police station on Sunday.

In another mishap, one Junun Munda (20) was crushed to death by an unidentified vehicle at Barsuna railway level crossing under Tensa police station on Sunday. The locals put up a road blockade for four hours with the body disrupting normal traffic in the busy mines area. Normalcy was restored after senior officials reached the spot and extended financial help from the district Red Cross fund to the victim’s family. PTI
