CEEP results released

HYDERABAD: A total of 1,19,658 out of 1,41,010 candidates, who appeared for CEEP -2008, have qualified for admission into the polytechnic colleges. In this test too, women fared better with 29,310 out of the 32,241 women candidates who sat for the test, registering a 90.91 per cent as compared to 83.06 per cent of boys (90,348 passed out of 1,08,769). The first three ranks in the test have gone to the students from Tanuku, a town in West Godavari district, which established a name in this test. V. Jaya Krishna who secured 116 out of 120 marks, is the first ranker, while D. Balaji and M. Durga Prasad who scored 115 marks, have bagged the second and third ranks. Releasing the CEEP results here on Monday, Asutosh Mishra, Principal Secretary, Higher Education, said rank cards to those who had qualified would be despatched by May 16 and counselling would commence on May 24.
