Winners of music contest

VISAKHAPATANAM: Sri Vijaya Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha announced the winners of the State-level classical music competitions held on Sunday at Sankara Matham for various events. The winners selected for various categories are:

Veena (junior category): Smriti Arvind Chitra , P. Apoorva Priyanka, T. Aparna (consolation). Vocal (junior girls) Ch. Sri Sruti, S. Suhasini, Naimisha Giri, Kameswari Suchitra and G.V.K. Dheeraja (consolation) while for vocal (junior boys) Aditya Viswanath, M.V. Mohana Krishna, N.V. Bhargava, P. Vamsi Sourabh (consolation). Vocal (senior girls) Ch. Ramya Kiranmayee, Ch. Aneesha (consolation). Vocal (senior boys) K.S.S. Govinda.

Mridangam (juniors) Y.K. Prashanth, V.S. Bhaskara Kalyan, M. Gaurav Prasad while in (seniors) M. Kamesh, D. Naresh Kanth Raj and A.S.S.R. Koundanya.

The prizes will be awarded at a special function to be held in June. The date and venue will be told separately to all the winners, according to a press release.
