Two held on charges of power theft

NEW DELHI: An enforcement team of North Delhi Power Limited has caught a house owner and a tenant on charges of direct theft of electricity. The accused, Rajinder and Virender of Inderpuri, were arrested by the police and produced in a Patiala House court.

The court sent the accused to Tihar Jail and they will now be produced before the special court for electricity at Rohini. A connected load of 15.32 kW was being stolen through direct hooking, said an NDPL release.
