ANANTAPUR: A man, who was not allowed to meet district Collector in his camp office here on Tuesday, allegedly consumed pesticide. He was rushed to the General Hospital by the camp office staff, where his condition was stated to be out of danger. According to the camp office staff and police, one Venkatammagari Srinivasulu (28) of D. Chennampalli of Kambaduru mandal in the district was in distress, as he had a debt of Rs. 75,000 and was making all efforts to clear it by getting bank loan. He was eking out a living as a petty vendor in the village. His repeated rounds to banks to get a loan turned futile and he had been trying to meet the Collector. for last three months either in the collectorate or at his camp office. However, he was not allowed to meet the Collector by security personnel.He arrived in the town three days ago with a resolve to meet the Collector or commit suicide.
