Medninagar (Jharkhand): A lawyer was shot dead by unidentified men at Redma in Palamu district on Tuesday. Jawahar Singh, a lawyer and activist of PUCL human rights body, was returning home in Kundri village when he was shot at from point blank range, Deputy Superintendent of Police Ashiwini Kumar Sinha said. A profusely bleeding Singh died on way to hospital, the DSP said. Singh had been associated with CPI about a decade back. Prima facie personal enmity appeared to be the reason though investigations were on.
