Sunni committee holds meet

KORAPUT: The Sunni Hanfi Muslakalla Hazrat Committee of the undivided Koraput district met at the town hall on Tuesday. The committee had discussed the ways in which divorce was being practised in the community, S.S. Rajmi, general secretary of the committee, said.

The committee laid emphasis on initiating awareness measures among members of the community on superstitious beliefs. The committee would submit a memorandum to the district authorities, Janab Hazi Sabbir, president of the committee said. The committee suggestws arrangeing marriage for girls from poor families.
