JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Government will shortly establish Jodhpur Development Authority for all-round development of the city and complete the land regularisation work of 16 villages situated in the municipal limits of Jodhpur by September this year. Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, announcing this while distributing the title deeds to the residents of slum colonies in Jodhpur on Tuesday, said the JDA would be established after a formal approval in the next State Cabinet meeting. The Law Department has already given its go-ahead to the proposal. Ms. Raje said the cut-off date for regularisation of the 16 villages falling in the municipal limits of the city had been fixed as September 2008 and the officials concerned had been asked to complete the work by then. The title deeds were distributed on behalf of the Jodhpur Urban Improvement Trust (UIT) to the people residing for several years in B.J.S. Colony and slum areas.
